Green-Billed Maroons

It would be very easy for me to go on and on about the ills of society.  As our local news stations are becoming more and more 'tabloid' these days, the almost ludicrous, too hard to believe, events are happening faster and faster.  Information is just that fast now...for both good information and piss poor birdcage-eligible trash.

For instance: some may have read about the recent Buffalo Bills / Detroit Lions game that happened in Detroit's Ford Field, where a "fan" felt obligated to influence the outcome of the game by shining a laser pointer at the opposing team's QB.  Quickly, I will say that I find laser pointers quite distracting, whether at a football game or concert.  Regardless, the user is trying, I believe, to enhance the experience...introduce a comical element to an otherwise busy performance.  Before being accused of having an "old man" moment, a "get-off-my-lawn" moment...a "I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those pesky kids" moment, let me ask this question: are laser pointers still a "thing?"  Who's buying them?  Besides the occasional powerpoint presentation, what's the point to having one?

Now, ESPN is reporting that Mr. Dude was found out.  How?  In a stadium of tens of thousands of fans that completely surround the field, one should be able to remain fairly anonymous...especially in this case, where the offensive demonstration is a quiet event perpetrated by a single individual...unless you tweet volunteering the information necessary for the PoPo to make a positive ID.

That's some super sluthing...must have taken them at least, oh, 30 or 40 seconds at most to do the search for the "Bills" to solve this dilly of a pickle.  Dude is obviously not the brightest bulb in the box...and football karma bit him in the ass as Detroit fell to the Bills in an unlikely upset.

Well done, my friend, you are absolutely what's wrong with people today.  I'll have to remember that as you make your rounds on the morning talk shows and late night programs.
